Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters is a national nutrition education program that fights hunger by teaching families how to make healthy food choices on a tight budget. Cooking Matters’ cooking based nutrition education classes are taught by culinary and nutrition professionals who volunteer to share their expertise with the participants. Each class is built around a hands on cooking lesson designed to teach the basics of healthy eating, cooking, food safety, and food budgeting. We are always looking for new volunteers to help us connect with the community.
